Town Council Regular Monthly Meeting

       
I.  OPENING OF REGULAR MEETING

  Date of Town Council Election - September 11, 2010  
  Anyone wishing to file as a candidate for the election must file an Application for Candidacy at Town Hall no later than 4:00 p.m. on July 27, 2010  
         
  On July 12, 2010 the Town mailed property owners a survey regarding flooding and drainage issues in the vicinity of the Loop Canal.  This is a follow-up to a previous study completed for the Town in 2006.  The purpose is to document damages associated with flooding and drainage issues so the relative costs and benefits of a proposed flood mitigation project can be fairly evaluated by the United States Army Corps of Engineers.  Please complete the survey and return it to the addressed contained within by August 13, 2010.   
         
  The Bethany Beach Town Council and the Board of Assessment will meet at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 19, 2010, in the Bethany Beach Town Hall at which time the Town Council will sit as a Board of Revision and Appeal to hear appeals from Said Assessments and to make corrections and revisions as it deems appropriate.  The Annual Tax Assessment List is available for public inspection in the Town Office.   
         
  Public comment was requested on any subject that was not on the agenda.  Comments regarding agenda items are requested during the discussion of old and/or new business.
