Please accept my warmest "Thank You" for supporting me once again through our election process, which resulted in my being re-elected for a third term as one of your town council members. By placing confidence in me and by voting for me, many of our town's folk honored me greatly and now it is my turn to respond by performing as promised during the election process. My fellow town council members elected me to serve as Mayor until September, 2009.

With the continuation of my responsibilities, I remind you that your elected council members cannot perform the job correctly without your assistance. Your ideas, suggestions, and constructive criticism are a necessary part of the management of our town. Let me emphasize the importance of your role in this relationship. If something is wrong, let us know. If something doesn't make sense, say so. Remember, all the matters voted upon by town council members will affect someone in some way. I encourage you to provide feedback as issues arise so that those of us on the town council can consider your thoughts prior to reaching the point of having to make a decision.

I believe what you think and say is important and I am a good listener. I truly care about your opinion.
