Retired Associate Director of Analytical Sciences for the

Qualifications For Town Council:
For
the last five years I have been actively involved in all aspects
of Town Government. I am currently on the Audit Committee,
Charter and Ordinance Review Committee, Non-Residential Design
Review Committee and the Chairperson of the Planning
Commission. I also have served on the Board of Elections, the
Town Trolley Committee, DELDOT Traffic Study Group, and the
Delaware League of Local Governments Municipal Election
Legislative Committee.
By
attending all of the Town Council monthly meetings, workshops
and public hearings I am very aware of all of the immediate and
long range issues that are important to the residents, property
owners and the business community in Bethany Beach. One of my
strong points is that I always conduct a very thorough review of
all of the various aspects of an issue that are important to the
community before rendering an opinion. I am an excellent
listener and will make every effort to understand the concerns
and viable alternatives suggested by the members of our
community before rendering a decision on any issue that may come
before the Town Council.
Important
Campaign Issues:
Insure that Bethany Beach will always be a family friendly
vacation destination.
Work with the Town Council and Town Manager to pursue all
sources of grants and other sources of funding for such capital
intensive projects as major upgrades for Pedestrian and Bike
Safety, Stormwater Management, Water Plant Enhancements,
Completion of the Nature Center and Streetscape.
Assist in organizing all of the surrounding municipalities in
developing a Comprehensive Plan that focuses on the negative
impact that over-development has on the quality of life related
issues for the entire region.
Champion the formation of a committee for the development of a
collaborative relationship between the Town and the Business
Community.
