Real Estate Broker and oversaw a large Real Estate Management Business
President and Sales Manager of Residential Real Estate Firm
Developed company that performed maintenance on light rail vehicles for Boeing
and Kawasaki Heavy Industries.
Along with my wife, owners of a Commercial & Industrial Uniform Business, prior
to retirement.
Previously served on the Town Council for 3 ½ years May 2005 to Sept.2008. I am
presently serving another 2 year term.
Qualifications for
Town Council:
In addition to formally serving on Town Council, I have been the Town Treasurer for 3 of those years, including this past year. I have also served on the Planning Commission, Chaired the Budget & Finance Committee, served on the Board of Elections, the Pedestrian Study Committee, Transportation & Trolley Committee, and Chaired the Traffic & Parking Committee. I also have been a member of the Audit Committee and Chaired the Recycling Committee. I currently Chair the Budget & Finance Committee.
I regularly attend the Town Council monthly meetings, workshops, and public hearings. I am very aware of all the current and long range issues that are important to the residents, property owners and the business community in Bethany. I am a very good listener and welcome community input. I make every effort to understand the concerns and viable alternatives suggested by the members of our community before making a decision on any issues that are brought before Town Council.
Important Campaign Issues:
· Work diligently to insure that Bethany Beach will remain a friendly family oriented resort town.
· Work on the budget and future financial planning to insure that Bethany remains as financially sound as it is. Currently there is no need for any tax increases.
· Work with Town Council and Town Manager to obtain grants and other sources of funding for projects, such as Streetscape, Storm Water Management, Pedestrian & Bike Safety, and Water Plant improvements.
